NEGLECTED is a compelling courtroom drama based on true events that delve into the profound consequences of parental neglect and societal indifference. The film follows Joey, a young boy whose life is plagued by neglect and violence. His already difficult existence spirals into tragedy following a heartbreaking incident in a bar. As the case unfolds in court, the film reveals the harsh realities of Joey’s life and exposes systemic failures that allowed his suffering to continue. Through a powerful legal battle, Neglected challenges viewers to confront the real-world implications of neglect and the urgent need for systemic change.
Leonardo has been an actor since the age of ten. During his 27-year career, he has appeared in several films including He Shoots He Scores, 10-07 Kafka Case, Tag 1 & 2, Two Brothers 1 & 2, The American Trap, Home Team, Waking the Dead, Dead Zone, Rats & Rabbits and Dead of Night, and many more.
In 1998, while shooting Home Team, he dove for The first time into film producing and was immediately hooked on it. A year after the production of the Independently and privately funded The Last Incarnation, he established Fuica Productions inc. with Strong support from his family, all involved in the Movie business.
In 2010 Leonardo produced and screenplay his first feature film as a producer and screenplay, LA RUN, which he signed with his brother Demian as a "Fuica Brothers Film". LA RUN has been released the 26 august 2011 and in Festivals worldwide like Competition at World film festivals of Montréal 2011, Competitions at film francophone of Angoûlème France 2011, and International film francophone of police de Liège Belgium. He had 3 nominations at the 2012 Jutra award for best screenplay, best editing, and best supporting role, and over 5 million views. And it’s just the beginning. He has attended the 2013 "THE TVI ACTOR STUDIO" school in L.A. in the international program polishing his acting and screenwriting for 5 months and preparing his way to the U.S. market. He added to his bow in 2015 as the director with his first film THE DARK ENERGY theatrical release on October 16, 2015, in Canada and over 2 million views. In 2020, he was lead producer, screenplay, actor, and co-directed his first English movie with his brother called CAMPING TRIP.He also produced the film Camping Trip made in 2020. Lastly, he made the movie Neglected in 2025, which is yet to be released.
